Case Study 1: How did MFCME Grant installation helped in World Congress of Coloproctology 2014 (WORLDCON 2014)

Requirements:

  • 5 Different locations in India to perform live surgery with Interaction from conference venue.
  • Live High definition transmission and communication with Audience.
  • Send Email alerts to associations across the Globe.
  • Payment gateway integration for live Broadcast.

There were no separate charges for payment gateway and SMTP server for sending thousands of invitations. Overall it made a wonderful viewer experience throughout the conference.

Case details:  Connecting multiple cities at the same time was a challenging task. Following locations were connected in Worldcon 2014:

  1. Gem Hospital, Coimbatore.
  2. Galaxy Care Hospital, Pune.
  3. Joy Hospital, Mumbai.       
  4. Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Hingna, Nagpur.

Case Study 2: How did MFCME Grant installation helped in METASURGASIA 2014 to connect multiple O.T.s for high definition live transmission of bariatric surgeries

Requirements:

  • 3 different operation theatres to perform live surgery with 2-way interaction from conference venue on 2 simultaneous displays
  • Live high definition transmission and communication with audience
  • Send Email alerts to surgeons across the globe
  • Mixing of high definition endoscopic surgical input with external camera
  • Instant switching between 3 operation theatres for live interaction with surgeons
  • Compact setup to be done at Raheja Hospital, Mumbai

Case details:  Our technology performed smoothly without compromising on picture quality, while switching between multiple operations theatres. In each OT 2 mbps connectivity was provided by hospital. Our implementation and technical team has worked hard for complete 3 day without any breaks to make this conference successful. Setup of HD live transmission was done within 2X2 feet trolley inside each OT without consuming extra space.

Case Study 3: How ICSISCON204 utilized MFCME Grant installation connect multiple O.T.s for 2-way interactive, high definition live with 3 international locations for its 2 day conference

Date of execution: 26th & 27th September 2014
Requirements:

  • 2 different operation theatres to perform live surgery with 2-way interaction from conference venue on 2 simultaneous displays
  • 2 Foreign countries to be connected in same conference in 2-way interaction with surgeons in operation theatre and participating in interaction on single display
  • Live high definition transmission and communication with audience
  • Send Email newsletter of conference to thousands of surgeons across the globe
  • Mixing of high definition endoscopic surgical input with external camera

Case details:  In the conference venue in India, internet connectivity was very poor, and cabled/broadband internet connection was not available. We had arranged 4G connection at conference venue in very short time. Following locations/countries were connected in 2-way interactive mode:

  1. Conference venue in Bangalore, India – on 4G connectivity
  2. Malaysia
  3. Bangladesh

Our implementation and technical team has given continuous on-site and remote support during entire conference. Entire 2-day conference worked in synchronized manner in all countries. We received appreciation immediately after the session from foreign locations with words “Fantastic images and very clear transmission.” “Congratulations. We hope to see you again.”

  • Transmission to be done on 4G, since internet connectivity was not available in OT

Case details:  Kulkarni Endosurgery Institute, Pune is regularly conducting live Urethroplasty workshops using MFCME grants and subsidies. In this workshop, they have planned to interact with surgeons in 3 receiving venues. Live high definition transmission of entire workshop was done while questions by audience were asked on phone. The entire workshop along with interaction was viewed live by hundreds of online urologists on one-way webcast and appreciated.

 

Case Study 5: Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) benefitted through Live Broadcast to Worldwide Audience

Case Details:

AFMC needed to have live broadcast of interactive surgery along with tracking of each viewer having details like contact details, country, IP, time spent to view broadcast etc. MFCME team provided all their requirements within short stipulated time.

Case Details:

Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (DMIMS) Wardha needed to conduct a National Level live surgical workshop on Hernia updates where they required to have continuous operations being conducted in 2 simultaneous OT’s connected to auditorium in interactive mode. Along with interaction from auditorium same CME was relayed live to worldwide audience on web. MFCME Grants implementation helped DMIMS in achieving high definition transmission and successful execution of this national level surgical workshop in a subsidized cost Subsidized cost helped to reduce the expenses of execution to 80% to that of Commercial Cost given by Vendors.
